SF Weekly's Description

Som Bar has rebranded itself as Slate, but the mod-minimalist decor and funky DJs remain.

I'm not just saying that, they got voted by sfweekly readers Best New Club in town. Indeed, you should check what's the themed before driving down there, they are all over the place - in a good way. 1st Fridays there's the craziest Brazilian party with a bunch of DJs and groovy stuff.

I second that you should check out the schedule first, because the music is all over the map, but it's a really relaxed place that flies in some really big acts now and again. Perfect combination.

Cool vibes. Great bartenders. Though one jacka** was extremely rude, arrogant, and disrespectful towards a customer. Bathrooms are very clean. Not a huge space, but good venue nonetheless.
