Description

SF Weekly's Description

This tiny Italian bistro defines itself as a neighborhood restaurant, albeit one for the Russian Hill residents who most appreciate white tablecloths and milk-glass chandeliers. Alexander Alioto - yeah, he's from S.F.'s politic-and-food-focused clan - aims at doing right by the classics. Dishes like housemade fettuccine carbonara and duck breast with sweet-sour braised cabbage demonstrate the chef's European training, and his menu is peppered with all the names of the local producers he places orders with. While Seven Hills' inexperienced service can be off-putting, Alexander's technique is sure. And his house-made ricotta backs the restaurant's brightest stars. Drizzled with honey, it's the restaurant's best dessert; a ricotta-stuffed raviolo uovo crowned with an egg yolk and served with truffled brown butter is an opulent flight of fancy.

Ravioli is ridiculous, beyond ridiculous. All the pasta is light and flavorful. One of the best pasta meals ever had

Most amazing!! Alex the host is the best in the city, and be sure to try to the ravioli. It's to die for...

O ravioli é maravilhoso e obrigatório! Para experimentar mais delícias, vale pedir os pratos pequenos de massa. De sobremesa, a ricota é muito gostosa, combinada com mel, laranja e pistache

Amazing signature ravioli. Mouth watering everything. A must in sf.

The staff was helpful and attentive, and the food was exceptional. Get the ravioli and tortelli. And the ricotta dessert. Do it. Do it today.
