SF Weekly's Description
Cries of dismay were heard around San Francisco when this gay biker roadhouse shuttered its doors in 2011. It was one of the friendliest, most open hangouts anyone -- even a scrawny straight hipster -- could want: Its Sunday beer busts were legendary, and its weekly "Thursday Nite Live" event was a celebration of alternative music and lifestyles where indie rock bands packed the house with happy crowds of all sizes and/or sexual persuasions. Now, after two years of drama and non-existence, the Eagle is back in business. And there was much rejoicing.
