Description

SF Weekly's Description

Though the Rickshaw's unmarked facade makes it a little difficult to find, you'll receive ample rewards for the search. Some of the country's most progressive DJs and indie bands play in the club's friendly confines, which features a great sound system, upstairs mezzanine for added visibility, and frequent all-ages shows for the kids.

Tips from foursquare

  • Mazda on 10/29/10

Catch hot indie up and comers like Local Natives before they appear on commercials.

  • Band of the Day A. on 11/08/11

The first three people to comment on my check in win bonus Band of the Day cool points...oh snap!!

  • Arlette T. on 07/22/09

See a band at the Rickshaw and get the bar's nightly drink special, no matter how weird it sounds or how apologetic the bartenders are about it.

  • Jared Z. on 08/23/11

This place is small intimate, and has pretty good acoustics, easy to get to and pretty inexpensive drinks, arrive an hour early if you want to sit down for the show, but why would you want to do that?
