Description

SF Weekly's Description

Elizabeth Falkner, the spiky-haired chef locally famed for her Hayes Valley restaurant, Citizen Cake, goes modern at her SOMA outpost. It features interesting, if not always entirely successful, assemblages of ingredients and techniques. We enjoyed the charcuterie platter and the roast pig entrée from the seasonally influenced menu. Thoughtfully creative, exotic cocktails are served at table or at the large horseshoe bar.

Elizabeth Faulkner’s demonstratively spectacular temple of food, not to mention ladies night on Thursdays. –Ilene Chaiken

Chef Falkner wows visitors at Orson with updated bar bites like her duck fat fries.

The desserts here can't be missed! One standout is the delicate Rosebud Remastered dish: a rose creme brulee (less brulee than a very feathery mousse-like cloud) buoyed by pistachio and chili-saffron.

duckfat fries. margarita. check. check. you can now die and go to heaven.

Kind of a hidden gem in SoMA, similar atmosphere to District or 25 Lusk, but spacious and never full. Happy Hour Friday til 7, no food specials though.
