Description

SF Weekly's Description

This spot offers a chance to try spicy Eritrean specialties rarely found on local menus. Gored gored has tender rare beef cubes sautéed in highly seasoned clarified butter; kilwa (with your choice of protein, but the lamb is best) is a fiery sauté with onions, tomatoes, and green peppers. The kitchen's authentic enough to make injera (the pancake you eat, and eat with) with teff, an East African grain with a sourdoughlike tang.

Coming for the gluten-free Injera? Be sure to call ahead of time to confirm. They often use wheat with their teff, but if you call in advance they can make a special batch for you.

Meat combo 11 is a great way to try a few things. Beef, chicken, lamb, veggies - all good!
