Description

SF Weekly's Description

Modest, friendly triangular-shaped café, with tiled floor, wooden tables and chairs, a couch, and counters looking out on Columbus, tries to be everything for the neighborhood: free WiFi, wine and beer, nights devoted to open mike, projected movies, trivia contests. Fare includes breakfast eggs, bagels, panini, salads, and soup. We are especially impressed by their excellent fondue, which is the real deal, served with salad, cubed bread, apples, and grapes.

    Guinness fondue ! Nuff said.

  • Mark M. on 05/06/12

The band may look like hobos and drifters, but the jazz is legit, and Melt! is a fabulous way to let a sunny late afternoon fade into evening.

  • Ian on 03/14/11

Excellent food at a great price. Out of towner here - but would make this a regular stop if I lived in the bay area

  • Julia W. on 12/30/12

Surprised it's not more popular! Generous fondue portions and great live jazz.

  • Maricar B. on 10/26/10

$6 "manmosas" (pint mimosas) during happy hour 3-6pm while playing board games & listening to someone play ukulele is not a bad deal...will return to try fondue, french onion soup & movie night.
