SF Weekly's Description
In an ideal world, there would be a sub shop on every corner. Even then, however, few would probably serve King Foot's excellent specialty: a hoagie heaped with Korean B.B.Q.-style beef and kimchi. Long before Korean fusion fare emerged as a major trend, this Divisadero shop was pairing bulgogi and kalbi with mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomato. Well-prepared, more pedestrian options â meatballs and cheese, turkey and avocado, and mesquite-grilled chicken, for example â are available too.
Tips from foursquare
Super-friendly folk. Call ahead during the lunch rush or be prepared to wait. -Josh K.
Sorry no restroom. Don't forget to get jalapeños.
Spicy bulgogi... oh my god.
Beef teriyaki is better than kalbi
Beef Teriyaki sub here is a standout.
