Description

SF Weekly's Description

Jasmine Tea House holds the dubious distinction of being the most dependable Chinese joint in the Mission, mainly because its neighborhood is known, generally speaking, for tacos and critically acclaimed destination restaurants. While some newcomers may be willing to tangle for the title, Jasmine dishes up cheap, palatable Mandarin fare in the form of combination-lunch specials and in swiftly delivered takeout containers. The Jasmine features particularly tasty appetizers and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Try any of the "mock" preparations, along with the scallion pancakes.

The Kung Pao Meatless Chicken is delicious, even if you're not a vegetarian. Definitely try it!

The duck is very nice, the lunch is a great deal

Go in and order the orange meatless chicken, which isn't on the menu but is an absolutely fantastic dish. Accompany your meal with a jasmine and rose tea.

  • David K. on 06/28/11

The house special noodle soup is very hearty and delicious!
