James Fitzgerald Marine Reserve is the best place on the coast to see the tide pools. On any given day you’ll see sea urchins, sea stars, harbor seals, various mollusks, and the elusive red octopus.

Make sure you check the tides before you come. The lower the better.

Be sure to go out on the bluffs which stand about 80 feet above where the seals rest. You can watch hundreds of harbor seals surfing and scampering around.
