SF Weekly's Description

Tucked off the lobby of the Mark Twain Hotel in Hayes Valley, this clubby, polished restaurant offers dependable, classic American fare made with sustainably raised meats and vegetables grown on a farm in Petaluma. Fish & Farm is the kind of place where the pork chops are as thick as a closed fist, and just the right pink inside, and the burger comes with house-made steak sauce and slippery, sweet grilled onions. The service, if stiff, is correct, and the wine list is all-Californian -- a rare quality in locavorism-besotted San Francisco.

The burger is great...it's #30 on 7x7's Big Eat SF 2010.

  • Food & Wine on 05/11/11

Fish and Farm is so committed to buying locally that it gets most of its produce from Blue House Farms in Pescadero.

  • The Daily Sip on 06/14/11

The $10 corkage fee is tough to pass up, although you can find some local gems on the wine list as well.
