Ferry Plaza Saturday Farmers' Market
Tomatoes, bell peppers, and jalapeño. Three examples of things that are nearly impossible to grow in this city -- even in the Mission sun. But fear not, you don't have to cut them out of your diet or resort to a supermarket. Every Saturday morning, growers from around the Bay Area and beyond gather at the Ferry Building with the best of their harvests. You don't need to bring a lot of money, but you might want to bring a backpack.
