DeLise Dessert Cafe
San Francisco, CA 94133
SF Weekly's Description
Dennis and Eloise Leung make tiny desserts, almost all priced below $2. Their cookies are the size of ping-pong balls, their cupcakes disappear in two bites, and their bars â the butterscotch blondie and the fudge brownies are particularly lovely â are easily a third the size of most other bakeries'. The same is not true of the generous scoops of ice cream that come out of their case. Here, the Leungs play hard with flavors, including purple ube (yam) with a subtle earthiness, a brawny dark-chocolate mocha (made with the Four Barrel coffee they also serve hot), and a lychee ice cream whose roselike flavor is enhanced with actual rosewater.
