SF Weekly's Description

Owner Adam Mesnick calls his restaurant, a popup gone legit, a mashup of East Coast deli and Midwestern deli. The deli, a popup gone legit, advertises homemade soups, "intimidating" sandwiches, and "in-your-face" snacks. If a sandwich weighing less than six pounds could be actually considered intimidating, some of this shop's offerings might indeed fit the bill, like the Gold-n-Berg-n-Stein, which contains corned beef, pastrami, kosher salami, muenster, house-made slaw, and house-made French dressing.

Tips from foursquare

7x7's Big Eat 2012 says the Munsoned is delicious. Yum!

The Boca is the best sandwich in the world. Pastrami, corned beef, and brisket. You just can't go wrong with this one.

  • Justin E. on 10/10/12

If you're here with someone from Pinterest, ask them to take your sandwiches back to the office and eat on the roof.

  • Holger L. on 03/18/13

My new favorite: The Humberto is 2-meat spicy version of the Boca. The JalapeƱos make all the difference.

  • Rafi S. on 01/14/13

If you arrive at noon, you won't wait in line. If you arrive at 12:30pm, the line could be out the door. Yes, even on a Monday.
