San Francisco, CA 94133
SF Weekly's Description
This famous landmark was built in honor of Lillie Hitchcock Coit in 1933, and the interior frescoes showing California industry are as interesting as the panoramas seen from the top.
Tips from foursquare
Come on Saturday at 11 a.m. for a free muraltour and access to the PWAP stairwell murals (normally off limits).
Don't take Muni -- climb up the hill that Coit Tower sits on. It's a brutal series of stairs.
Nice 360 view of SF. A must visit when in town!
One of the best panoramic views of the city! Make sure you check out the murals.
Enjoy the views from the observation deck but don’t forget to check out the socialist-leaning WPA-era murals in the base of the tower as well. - Green Guide Editor
