SF Weekly's Description
In its mid-'70s heyday, Club Waziema, known then as Club Morocco, hosted iconic artists like Tina Turner and James Brown. Today, Waziema is still a venue, though its once-a-week concert series, CitySessions, features lesser-known acoustic performers. n addition to serving as a bar, Waziema is one of the city's more popular Ethiopian restaurants, offering a full menu of authentic dishes. Popular items include collard greens, lentils, and the spicy chicken special - all sopped up with folds of sweet, bubbly injera bread. Vegetarians will eat very well here.
