Description

SF Weekly's Description

It's nearly impossible to go wrong at tony, wildly popular Boulevard, from the sumptuous interior by Pat Kuleto to Nancy Oakes' flawlessly executed New American menu. The offerings are seasonal, and desserts are exceptional. Extensive wine list, full bar.

Tips from foursquare

  • Bloomingdale's on 08/12/10

Like its much-vaunted wine vault, this Embarcadero icon only improves with age. If the Art Nouveau décor doesn’t get you, Nancy Oakes’ cuisine and the sweet staff serving it surely will.

  • Gilt City on 05/06/11

Chef Oakes invites Gilt City members to the 24th annual Star Chefs & Vintners Gala on May 15. Aside from great food and a good cause, an opulent goodie bag brings the celebration home.

  • La Dolce Vita on 12/21/11

    One Michelin star.

  • Really nice selection of half bottles. Tough to beat the Chateau La Garde from Pessac-Leognan (Graves, Bordeaux) from the excellent 2005 vintage. Minty nose and classic cedar box notes. Great value!

If you can, sit at the counter in front of the cooks.
