Description

SF Weekly's Description

Refined New American cooking, using French techniques and Southern accents, in a comfortable dark-brown room in the revitalized Fillmore Preservation Jazz District. Occasional live jazz in the adjacent bar and lounge room (pleasantly audible in the dining room) reminds you of the street's heritage (as does a dazzling wall of photographs in the lounge), but soul food was never like this. 1300 on Fillmore has lovely desserts and a well-priced all-American wine list. Sunday brunch.

Tips from foursquare

  • ZAGAT on 04/21/10

Have a spirited Sunday at the gospel brunch – with seatings at 11 AM and 1 PM.

  • Emily W. on 07/16/10

    Shrimp and grits

  • Kelli R. on 11/10/10

Half priced cocktail on your first check-in!

  • The Bold Italic on 03/10/11

The fried chicken is moist and crispy and gets an A for texture; the meat is full of flavor and has clearly been soaked or brined in something to get that flavor all the way through to the bone.

  • Melissa D. on 01/15/12

You can't go wrong with their tender, juicy & flavorful fried chicken!
