Ignore the jerk chicken skewers and you've got yourself a fairly interesting pan-Latin eatery. It's owned by the folks who run T.G.I. Friday's, but ironically it's not nearly as efficient. Regardless, this burgeoning chain caters to the Latin palate with imagination and flair, serving dishes such as arepas with queso blanco and shredded beef, ropa vieja sandwiches, fried Brazilian calamari, and recado-rubbed roast chicken with rum-vanilla mashed boniatos (white sweet potatoes).

OK, so it's not much of a chain -- yet. This pan-Latin eatery, a conceptual sibling to T.G.I. Friday's, has only two other locations nationwide. Still, more are planned, including two in South Florida, and they're so uniquely suited to our... More >

Located right smack in the heart of the downtown business section, it's rather high class place but casual dress accepted. The service is good and though the food is pricey, it is actually a good value for what you get. They have some of the best cerviche I've ever had, and the service staff is totally professional.
