Best thrift store ever! Most all of the basement is brand new items from Target. (sample clothing and pre production items.) Everything is pretty much 90% off retail prices and it's brand new. From clothes, to toys, to patio sets, to shoes and household items such as comforters, lamps, towels etc...I can spend two hours in the store. no joke. It's impossible for me to not spend money when I go there because the deals are so amazing. I implore you to visit. You will not be dissappointed. ( I have heard the best days to go are on mondays when they get brand new shipments in)

This store, tucked in Minneapolis's warehouse district, boasts two huge, linoleumed levels of wall-to-wall treasure. From clothing to lamps to furniture to those unnerving paintings of the kids with giant doe eyes, this Salvation Army is indeed a salvation. Among the City Pages staff, recent bargains have included a perfect and... More »

Nothing in the trough is priced, so you're offered the double delight of finding something good, and wondering what you'll pay for it... More »

  • 2000 | BEST USED FURNITURE (CHEAPER THAN DIRT)

Those of us who are constitutionally incapable of squandering $1,500 on a couch or dinette set ought to be grateful for the boom economy. Why? Because it wouldn't be so bloody easy to furnish a pad on the cheap if not for all the big spenders and germ phobics casting aside perfectly functional pieces. As it stands, the metro area is brimming with thrift stores that offer both excellent selections and attractive deals. For our (paltry) money, nothing beats the Salvation Army's flagship... More »
