Salvation Army is a religious charitable group providing a variety of services including employment, youth rehab, HeatShare, and other social services.
Best thrift store ever! Most all of the basement is brand new items from Target. (sample clothing and pre production items.) Everything is pretty much 90% off retail prices and it's brand new. From clothes, to toys, to patio sets, to shoes and household items such as comforters, lamps, towels etc...I can spend two hours in the store. no joke. It's impossible for me to not spend money when I go there because the deals are so amazing. I implore you to visit. You will not be dissappointed. ( I have heard the best days to go are on mondays when they get brand new shipments in)

The basement of the downtown Salvation Army thrift store puts a new sheen--well, make that a new patina--on the words cheap thrill. Those of us who are constitutionally incapable of squandering $1,500 on a couch or dinette set ought to be grateful for the boom economy. Why? Because it wouldn't be so bloody easy to furnish a pad on the cheap if not for all the big spenders and germ phobics casting aside perfectly functional pieces.
