The Ryman has the richest music history in Nashville, not to mention an intimacy unparalleled for the big-name bands that take the stage. When The Raconteurs came last fall, what made the concert even more worth the ticket price, was seeing Jack White get out of his black Benz in the alleyway before the show about five feet from where we were standing. The Ryman's accessibility and history make for a unique concert experience every show. The personal connection between artist and audience is the best I have ever experienced.
