Anything made with duck is a good bet at this northern Thai, which lurks under the Long Island Railroad overpass in Woodside. Among our duck favorites is ka-time, deep fried mallard topped with a chunky garlic sauce. Salads are good, of course, including a pork larb made with pale ground meat that proved the perfect foil for the plethora of green herbs tossed in. And the place doesn't stint on the fish sauce, either. Noodles are also a fine choice; these have a Chinese coloration to them, as one might expect from a northern Thai establishment. Finally, a couple of Japanese-leaning dishes have wormed their way onto the menu, reflecting a fad for that cuisine in Bangkok.
