Popular with the board-short set, Rudy's Bar & Grill is Pacific Ocean adjacent, perched on the Balboa Peninsula. Rocking the sport's bar vibe, this establishment is outfitted with 25 flat-screen TVs beaming an array of events. The large brick building features a retractable glass roof, which when activated, turns half the joint into an open air patio. Two bars serve up signature cocktails , as well as a large selection of bottled beers and a small selection of drafts. Spigots dispense Stella, Bud light as well as Kona Fire Rock. Waitresses look sporty as they patrol the AstroTurf-covered patio in tennis shoes, high socks and teeny tiny plaid skirts. Check out their late night drink specials which include $3 domestic drafts and $4 premium drafts served up Sunday through Thursday 10 p.m. to close. Friday and Saturday drink specials are served 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
