It just doesn't get more disparate than a heavy-metal aesthetic with touches of 18th century French design, such as the chandeliers, and healthy dose of pride regarding the look and feel. But that's what you get at the former Old Republic space. Thankfully, there is none of the hair-band or white-wig affectation in the service of chef Frankie B's array of dishes, which includes beef skewers and the onion rings and bacon with prosciutto piled onto the Rok Burger. Flat-screen televisions broadcast Sunday football with a "tailgate" brunch menu. DJs drop beats for the beautiful people who pack the place late nights. And everything comes together under the eye of attentive general manager Aaron Van Blarucm.
