If anyone tells you that they come to Ritual for the coffee, they are being partially honest. The coffee - seasonal blends of sustainable Colombian beans, brewed one cup at a time - is, in fact, pretty special, but you can get it at other coffee shops. Half the appeal has more to do with the scene: attractive people pecking away at laptops, attractive people behind the counter, attractive people milling around with cigarettes outside. Considering the lack of electrical outlets that grad students and freelancers require to keep their computers powered long enough to get real work done, Ritual is essentially a bar without beer, and, for the socially inclined, a nice place to meet people.
