Description

The Asian-fusion experiments of Marcus Samuelsson, part owner of Aquavit, are the centerpiece of Riingo, but don't expect mustard-pickled mackerel or a sushi smorgasbord. More tamely, the menu combines a doctrinaire sushi bar with a lively bistro menu, including chicken dumplings that are architecturally perfect in their gossamer wonton wrappers, but a little restrained flavor-wise. Then there's the Riingo burger: a giant wad of good meat with cheddar melted on top, wearing its applewood-smoked bacon like a misshapen beret, altogether one of the city's finest burgers.
