Description
This pulsating nightclub has been a mainstay of the Houston dance scene for 30 years. Presenting itself as five clubs in one, the hot spot on San Jacinto is centered on a large wooden dance floor. Dancers writhe away at stations while the DJs pump out mixes and charismatic bartenders fill glass after glass. Long bars stretch along the sides, and downstairs also includes a velvet-roped private lounge and access to the patio deck with its large wooden bar. Upstairs are two more themed rooms – each with its own DJ booth, as well as lounging space that overlooks the dance floor. Rich’s is known to throw quite the party, with celebrity guests ranging from reality show D-listers to heavy hitters like Biz Markie or Jay-Z himself putting in appearances. Houston’s first mega-nightclub is still going strong.
