The seasonal menus at Restaurant Kevin Taylor are poetry without a single word wasted. Chef Kevin Taylor's namesake has come into its own and is deserving of the beautiful room, the fawning press and the exorbitant prices.
At restaurants across town, it's not hard to rack up a big bill: Those small plates add up, and one steakhouse slab can carve out a day's pay. But if the sky -- or at least your card's credit -- is the limit, you're looking not just for fabulous food, but impeccable service and an upscale ambience to match. And for that, you're not going to do any better than Restaurant Kevin Taylor, the restaurant tucked into a corner of Hotel Teatro, and overseen by Kevin Taylor. The space is... More »
Kevin Taylor and the staff at his eponymous restaurant create some of the most incredible high-end food in Denver. Roasted Maine lobster and truffle bisque; French foie gras with a peanut financier, pineapple jelly and vanilla foam; lamb rack and belly with minted jus; and the best pavé of salmon anywhere. It's all there for the asking -- if you have the answer for how to pay for this stuff, which is expensive. We're talking $15 apps and entrees that run as high as $65. If you're... More »
Restaurant Kevin Taylor is not only the finest expression of the classical talents of Denver's most prolific Big Name Chef, but it's provided some of our most surpassing moments of culinary bliss this past year. Not every one of the seasonal menus is perfect, but when this kitchen is on, it's brilliant, rising so far above Denver's culinary status quo that at times it can seem nearly ethereal. More »

If you're one of the few lucky ones employed by a solvent boss who's still covering your extravagant expenses, take advantage of it while you can and make a reservation at RKT posthaste. We promise it'll be the best free dinner you'll find anywhere in the city.
Three friends and I went a bit overboard here, and let me tell you now: It is easy to do. But wow, was everything superb. The staff was never out of sight during the four course meal, the praises of which are sung in every review. From the Russian River Sonoma Cutrer to the final Armagnac, the Sommelier waited on us hand and foot. Not a single fork was out of place. As it should be for a several hundred dollar a person dinner.
