The dress code at Restaurant Bea, the latest venture from chef Tom Black and his business partner Kate Perry, is a pretty good guide to the Madrona joint's cuisine. Patrons tend to wear fancy jeans, a melding of comfort and culture that describes most of the dishes on Black's not-too-challenging menu. Tater tots and mac-and-cheese are popular with diners who would straight-facedly describe carbs as "guilty pleasures," but wise eaters follow Black's cheffier inclinations: Don't miss the sweetbreads.
