SoDo's sleek and chic Republiq is the closest thing to a Vegas nightclub Seattle has to offer. It's garishly lit with hot pink and other fluorescent shaded lights; there are raised platforms for girls who find the ordinary dance floor too boring; and upstairs, there's an all-important VIP area. Republiq's only open two nights a week-Friday (hip-hop and Top 40) and Saturday (techno), so on both evenings club goers are generally crammed in tight. That's especially true on nights when the club hosts live DJs. On the plus side is the location-parking is much more readily available in the streets of SoDo than competing nightlife neighborhoods Belltown and Pioneer Square.
