Looks can be deceiving. For instance, this "diamond in the rough" is hidden amidst a particularly blue-collar stretch of Grand Avenue. From the outside, the tavern's gray stucco exterior makes it almost indistinguishable from a landscape of neighboring industrial parks, manufacturing businesses, warehouses, and other such buildings. Inside, however, is another story, as rich mahogany decor and vintage-looking fixtures create a warm and welcoming vibe of an upscale neighborhood drinkery with ambience just as friendly as its owner Renee White. Vibrant and vivacious, she's an affable drink-slinging dynamo who's happy to engage you in lively conversation while mixing up one of her signature cocktails that are just as sweet as her personality.
