Splendid neighborhood Eye-tie joint, with a 1940s theme, kickass spaghetti and meatballs, and cannoli so sweet, filling, and inexpensive that you'll consider moving to Fountain Hills so you can have them regularly. The pizza is Brooklyn-worthy, and a half-dozen of those garlic knots, and a glass of vino, and Chef Tony may have to pry you out of the booth to get you to leave. Mangia, baby. You'd have to be in Crooklyn for it to get any better.
Sure, there are plenty of places to get a plate of pasta in town, but few can reproduce that old-timey, Brooklyn-style pizzeria feel and flavor, which is why Redendo's remains our preferred corner Italian joint in the Valley. You'd think spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna and all that classic Eye-tie stuff that's as common in Brooklyn as drive-through liquor stores are here would be a no-brainer.
