The quintessential neighborhood hot dog stand, Red Hot Shack slings hot beef on the cheap. The bright-red stand is a perfect pit stop near the Fort Lauderdale airport, a great place to decompress before or after a flight with a cold beer and a Chicago-style hot dog. Red Hot also makes a Maxwell Street Polish dog with sauteed onions and mustard, and an ode to New York's cart dogs with red-onion relish. The burgers are frozen and just so-so, but the fries (hand-cut) and shakes (extra-creamy) are worth a visit.
