Description

They've dropped "Alehouse" from the name and added hard liquor, a lounge, and a kid-friendly dining area. Centrally located in lower Fremont, it has huge, open windows that look out onto the canal, vaulted ceilings, and yes, a big red door. It also serves stiff drinks and is generally packed night after night-that includes the two bars and the giant outdoor patio. The Red Door has better-than-average pub food including good burgers, plus standards like a corned-beef Reuben, French dip, and fish and chips. The ahi tuna sandwich with lemon-dill spread exceeds pub expectations, and beer-steamed clams with a garlicky, buttery sauce are nice for sharing.

Not digging this spot whatsoever. Too crowded. Pretentious patrons and the bartenders aren't very friendly
