Description

CLOSED Though lacking in décor, this Lower Haight restaurant impresses via a superior selection of dishes from across India. Classic northern fare -- chicken and lamb tandoori, tikka masala, piping hot naan -- meets central and south Indian dishes such as a mild, creamy coconut curry and pasanda, a Hyderabadi curry with ground almonds and cashews. Malai kofta (cheese dumplings in curry) is superb. Limited dessert selection; small, affordable wine list.
