Matt Jansen, owner of Mateo, opened Radda in the midst of north Boulder's low-rise sprawl, and it’s a welcome addition. This is an Italian restaurant, a small-plates restaurant, a comfortable and casual restaurant where the food serves as hearty sustenance, stimulus for conversation and an excuse to gather together with friends. Everything here, from the rustic pizzas to the salumi plates and meticulously balanced entrees, is excellent, and represents the best that a modern Italian American restaurant can offer.

    A high-end feel and yet you could walk in dressed in jeans and a t-shirt and still be served. The food is fabulous and presentation is lovely! Good drinks too - fun happy hour spot!

    radda, owned by the proprietor of matteo's, not only has some of the best contemporary italian cuisine in boulder, but it's AFFORDABLE. you wouldn't know it by the beautiful space and ambiance, or the top quality dishes, but check out the menu prices and prepare to be blown away. add to this a great wine list and delicious coffee, and you'll be sold. perfect especially for us NoBo locals :-)

    They make a fab risotto at this place, and their sea bass is delicious. The menu is just right for a quick bite - and again, lots of tasty Italian antipasti. Always a lively crowd - I prefer to sit at the bar - the bartenders memorize your name and are very personable. I like that!
