The Cajun crawfish trend in Little Saigon started with one restaurant about a decade ago. These days, it's everywhere. But I think I just might have seen the next mini-trend rising like a deep-fried golden sun over the horizon of the bubbling crawfish cauldron: Cajun crawfish boil with funnel cakes for dessert, thanks to Q Restaurant. This hole-in-the-wall mom-and-pop seems to be the first to attempt the disparate pairing. We hope it isn't the last, because if there are two more-unrelated foods that should be seen on a menu together, they're crawfish and funnel cake.
