Although this restaurant offers a full menu, the dark interior, slouchy couches, and live music make it obvious the place is meant mainly as a cocktail lounge. Those who would be happiest here enjoy loud environs, lively ambiance, cigar smoke, and scene-y indoor-outdoor spaces to chill with a few friends after work. Food caters to that crowd by consisting of mostly small plates and tapas such as "dips and chips," hummus, olive tapenade, and artichoke dip served with baked pita chips ($6); an assorted cheese platter for two served with guava paste, pine nuts, honey, and grapes ($12); and tequeños, a basket of baked Venezuelan cheese rolls served (strangely) with guacamole ($9). Larger dishes include three types of grilled pizzas, eight sandwiches and wraps, and a handful of chicken and burger choices. Décor consists of clean lines, warm hues, minimally patterned wallpaper, and cool details like an oversized wood clock surrounded by the curlicues of several decals. On nights when there is nice weather, outdoor tables are the most requested seating. And often there is live music on weekends.
