Purple Dot Cafe looks like a cross between Space Mountain and a casino buffet. The walls are bright purple and yellow and the tables iridescent silver, and the food—well—there's a lot of it. Purple Dot serves Hong Kong-style cuisine, meaning it's influenced by everything. The wacky menu includes chow mein and honey-walnut prawns, baked spaghetti and pork chops, even French toast and banana pancakes. It's a hugely popular spot with clubgoers, who come in gaggles after the bars close. (Owner Sindy Chan actually doubles her staff on weekends.) It's the International District's ultimate greasy spoon—you don't necessarily want to have dim sum here, but boy, does that chow mein hit the spot at 3 a.m.
