  • 2003 | Best Supermarket

Think every Publix is the same Well, think again. A few stores have a good deli section. But how many boast a food court and full-time sushi chefs Landlocked Tamarac may not have a lot going for it, but the residents of this suburb can at least point to their Publix... More »

Publix is one of the few local markets that supply you with sanitary wipes in Blue cylinders as you come in the door. While they do carry Mexican produce, use one of these wipes in the store if you purchase Mexican Stuff. By law the country of origin is supposed to be posted. Publix is still happy to give you a refund if for any reason you are unhappy with the product. The produce is a bit pricey, and not quite up to the standards of their green groceries of yore, but for one stop convenience and quality it is my opinion they beat their competitors hollow. I note they are starting to carry a wider selection of lights that are fresh and not frozen. I have not noted any burnt cow feet yet, but as I am addicted to kidneys for breakfast from time to time this new policy is great. No swine flu or mad cow disease is to be found there
