Part takeout and part casual café, Prosecco offers casual Italian fare, small-plate-style menus, and a gelato bar as well. It's slipped into the Commons, a large shopping plaza with entry in the back. A gelato and dessert bar with counter service and a few tables in the bright, modern setting or on the sidewalk serves as a waiting and takeout area. Bar seating is wrapped around into the small dining room, where café tables are scattered for bistro service. At breakfast, choose a warm-from-the-oven roll, or sit and eat a Tuscan omelet, with pesto, Brie, and caramelized onions. For lunch, latch on to a meaty sandwich from a carving board, with meats roasted in-house, or one of several panini. Soups and salads are alternate choices. Antipasto plates make nice dinner starters. Fresh fish like pistachio-crusted grouper or flounder piccata is served with mango salsa or fresh vegetables. Grilled chicken and a few meats are other choices. Leave room for gelato or an apple tart or other pastry from the bakery.
