Located inside the Galleria, Prohibition Bar is doing the suddenly en vogue classic-cocktail concept with the Roaring '20s as their point of reference. The bar, manned by bartenders in somewhat period garb, is perfect for upscale shoppers looking to take the edge off retail therapy, or those just in need of a classier establishment to take a date. The drink menu is extensive and expensive, but you are paying for expert attention to detail and top-shelf ingredients, though not all the patrons may dig on the drinking habits of yesteryear. Our favorite poisons here are the White Bison, made with Zubrowka vodka and Kahlua with a shot of cream and drizzled with tobacco shavings(!). The Scofflaw, made with Maker's Mark, is also a good choice. On weekends, Prohibition does get particular with its dress code, so think ahead before you hit the town in your gym clothes.
