This Pittsburgh-based chain of sandwich and pizza joints is treated like a temple of all things greasy and delicious in Steeltown. Here in Oakland Park, Primanti Brothers serves great Italian-American specialties late into the night. The place is most famous for its "Almost Famous sandwiches," monstrous slices of Italian bread stuffed with meat, cheese, cole slaw, and salty/delicious handcut French fries -- great drunk food. The pizza is good too: fairly sweet, crisp, and melting with cheese. Service is pretty fast.
