For a leisurely lunch or a light dinner in a vibrant, high-style atmosphere, Postino always feels right. Granted, we're not alone in that sentiment, considering how hard it is to find a parking spot in these parts. But once we get a table, all is well, especially when the garage-style door of this historic post office building is open. (That means the weather's good.) We can always count on delicious sandwiches, salads, and sharable, wine-friendly appetizers. The bruschetta - served on a cute wooden cutting board, with toppings like salami with pesto or brie with apples - is so good you'll want to make a meal out of it.
Restaurant bars stopped being strictly bars years ago. Nowadays, many people consider them the best seats in the house for a casual dinner that doesn't require reservations, waiting, or a deep reservo... More »
Folks here in the Valley might not experience a true winter chill, but that doesn't mean we don't like to snuggle up with a hearty sandwich and a comforting bowl of soup when we need that extra bit of... More »
Every week, there's a cornucopia of Phoenix food news, features, and reviews to report here at Chow Bella. If you're like most people, you probably just don't have the time to get to all of it. It's k... More »

Seriously ... Gilbert? That was my first thought when I learned Postino was extending its reach out there to the far East Valley (yeah, I'm a Central Phoenix guy). Despite my apprehension, I got out... More »
I love coming here on Sunday's! Nothing beats listening to great reggae music while eating brunch and sipping on mimosas. Sunday's never looked so good!
All the same great things to say about this place as the original Postino on 40th St & Campbell... but now in an even more convenient location to me! I may like the patio even better at this location.
What's the secret to success for this always-hoppin' winebar (which cloned itself last year, yet still has its mojo)? Somehow, the folks at Postino have found the sweet spot of style, service, and accessible food, whether you're talking a lively weekend brunch with friends, after-work vino and a bite, or a cozy, candlelit meal with a date. The selection of salads, bruschetta, cheeses, and sandwiches is simple but perfectly suited to go with one of the wines from the eclectic rotating menu;... More »
We love the Autostrada panini. And we love the smoked salmon bruschetta. And Postino Central's wine list is not only imaginative but always features several of our favorite libations. But what we really love most about this new-ish cafe (located in the old Katz's Deli building on North Central) is that seating on the patio lets us watch three entirely different slices of life, all at once. We can ogle the bar crowd that's hanging out just beyond the patio (where it's pretty easy to strike up... More »
It's no wonder that the new Postino Central seems to be doing bang-up business every time we stop by. Just as the original Postino transformed the former Arcadia Post Office into a high-style wine bar, Postino Central breathes new life into the cool mid-century building that used to house Katz's Deli. The setting may be completely different, but the spirit is the same. Likewise, the food is just as good, a familiar, scrumptious menu of panini, salads, and the best bruschetta in town, with...
