It's always a honky-tonk Christmas under the lights at Post Time, strobing and strung festively through the dance floor. Not a place to do it small, the pool hall, the dance space and table tops are sized to fit a serious crowd. The native Texan-owned bar features American Poolplayers Association tournaments, sponsoring teams who attest their success with numerous trophies gracing the walls. Live country music and happy hour specials draw the older regulars early but late night when the lights go off and the fog machines kick on, a young crowd takes over and the music accommodates.
We've lauded their fried pickles in the past, and those wild boar quesadillas are a glutton's dream, but Love & War in Texas' best feature is a wealth of Texas music pride to match its epic name.
