CLOSED This bright Yucatecan spot in a dingy block of 16th Street, while by no means fancy, is a cut above your average Mission District taqueria in several ways: decor, lighting, service, and especially food. The kitchen takes extra effort in even the simplest items, such as made-to-order corn tortillas and extra-flavorful yellow rice and black beans. Daily specials often feature succulent turkey, notably in chilmole, where it's served in a complex sauce including pork, eggs, and blackened chiles. Hours have varied so call before making a special trip.
