Primarily a takeout joint, this Midtown pizzeria looks the part, with a kitchen that's three times as big as the four-table indoor dining area. (There are also a couple of umbrella-shaded tables outside.) The original Ponzo's was in Pasadena, California, but despite its West Coast roots, the restaurant is very much like an East Coast pizzeria. You have your choice of a great crispy pizza, hot oven-baked Italian subs, or a cold sandwich with Italian cold cuts, lettuce, tomato and vinaigrette.
