Which came first: the signature ice cream sandwich, the Pokey O, or the shop of the same name? To the adoring masses of homegrown Pokey O's, this question is of little consequence. The journey to eating this popular treat begins with the choice of a pair of cookie selections. These include the pedestrian chocolate chip cookie, the old-fashioned white-chocolate macadamia nut as well as the cappuccino chocolate chunk. That's followed by a generous helping of Blue Bell ice cream. Naturally, the only possible accompaniments to the ice cream sandwich are the malts or milkshakes offered. Fountain drinks and sundaes are also available, rounding out the retro feel to the concept. Poodle skirts and sock hops not included.
