Description

This tiny, airport-adjacent Mexican restaurant offers solid, inexpensive, and fresh food choices-although most everyone comes here for the tortillas, light and fluffy and flour-y good! We like that we get one as a side with combinations that feature tasty chile rellenos, beef or chicken tacos, and cheese enchiladas that are out of this world. Sides of house-made rice and beans are a must-have from this hole-in-the-wall Mexican diner, so don't forget to order them for the table.

  • 2011 | Best Neighborhood Mexican Restaurant, South Phoenix

Pitic certainly isn't much to look at from the outside, but that's generally the case with hole-in-the-wall Mexican joints. Chiles rellenos, tacos, burritos like tu madre used to make, and it won't leave too much of a dent in your wallet. We recommend the caldo de res, a big brothy beef bowl packed with... More »

The attached lounge serves up amateur night and enchiladas for the fight-crazy crowd, who line up in neatly placed rows. The place is a riot mostly because the crowd tends to take over with funny-as-hell jabs at the boxers and... More »
