With all the taco joints in town, you wouldn't think it was possible to come up with a new, better way to do one. But with Pinche Taqueria -- the restaurant that does not dare say its name on its sign, which instead just promises "tacos, tequila, whiskey" -- Kevin Morrison did just that. This raucous, irreverent spot grew out of Morrison's highly successful food truck, Pinche Tacos. The menu is focused and simple, featuring an array of gringified tacos packed with succulent meats and strong flavors, as well as a handful of appetizers and the best churros we've ever tasted; the bar program is a frequently evolving homage to tequila, whiskey and debauchery. But this restaurant is so much more than a sum of its parts: Every time we stop by, we love it a little bit more. Pinche Taqueria feeds more than our bellies: It feeds our imagination, letting us enter someone else's magical world for a while so that we remember, again, what dining out is all about.
What do Madhava honey, a vegan history lesson and "liquid fire" have in common? They can all be found on Pinche Taqueria's updated menu. On a slightly overcast Monday afternoon, Kevin Morrison, ch... More »

Apparently if you still have a drink half way full at Pinche Tacos it's considered you taking up space and are automatically wanted out for taking up a table. Oh and don't touch your phone cause the boss at this location thinks all you are doing is checking in on Facebook. This boss has "business to make" with a rude attitude. Great customer service boss man :)
More than 300 restaurants opened in metro Denver last year, and many of them added something new and special to an already vibrant dining scene. But none did it with the aplomb of Pinche Taqueria, a raucous, irreverent spot that grew out of Kevin Morrison's highly successful food truck. The menu here is focused and simple, featuring an array of gringified tacos packed with succulent meats and punchy flavors, as well as a handful of appetizers and the best churros we've ever tasted; the bar... The Pinche Taqueria cocktail list is downright cheeky. The tequila- and whiskey-focused back bar serves up clever twists on classic Mexican cocktails, as well as wondrous new concoctions. But before the bar ventured off into wordplay and wacky flavors, it worked hard to make sure that it had nailed its house margarita, which also happens to be the only margarita the place makes. The classic blend of tequila and Cointreau and plenty of mouth-puckering lime juice is sweetened with a squirt of... More »
